Full House

Okay, living in a 2-bedroom condo is taking its toll. It's my grandmother's 80th birthday celebration on Saturday, and more and more people are starting to fly in. I'm going to find out how a canned sardine must feel, pretty soon. You do the math: 2 bedrooms, with my uncle, me, my mom, my dad, my grandmother, my brother, my other uncle and other aunt from Chicago, and then another aunt. Whew! Talk about maximizing the space!

And for some reason, everyone lines up to use my bathroom instead of my uncle's. In the morning, my grandmother, father and mother all start calling out to each other.

"Hurry up and get in the shower, 'cause I'm next!"

"No, you go first!"

"No, you go first, because I'm still doing this."

"Okay, you two won't go? I will."

"Okay, hurry up, I'm next."

And then of course at night when it's time to go to sleep and I'm already in bed, the door creeps open, and one by one, they come in to brush their teeth and change into their bedclothes. And they really do try to keep it down....

"I'm just going to change too."

"Shh! Keep it down! She's sleeping."

"Did I wake you? Sorry. I'm just going to change."

That's my family. Sigh. :P
