TGIF

How the days go by so fast! I guess with this new job being the way it is, the week is over even before I realize it. It's not that I'm extremely busy, but for some reason, time just seems to go faster in this place.

Looking ahead though, I see that idle time is going to be pretty scarce until mid-October. My parents will be here for a visit, and so will some of my relatives, because it's my grandmother's 80th birthday, and we're having a big party for her. That's in Sept-Oct. Now this weekend is packed too - a birthday party, golf, a movie, a trip to Catalina, a dinner - and then next weekend is the big Sequoia trip, which I'm really looking forward to.

==============================

Yesterday was my cousin's birthday, so the family had dinner out. It's nice to be with family and all, but dinner was served after nine, and I could barely think straight! My cousin was delayed at work, and when we got to the first restaurant we wanted to eat at, they were totally packed (on a Thursday night?!?!?!). So we had to decide on another place and by the time we got there, it was 8:30, and I was practically hallucinating.

Okay, maybe not, but I was really really really hungry.

==============================

The days are getting colder, and while I complained about the heat, I'm missing it now. But I suppose the cold seasons are what makes summer something to look forward to, and something to make the most of.
